Mendoza Premier Padel P1: Only two top seeds eliminated

Those expecting a big test from the world’s top players were not disappointed. Winning debut for all the stars in the P1 Premier in Mendoza . Of the 16 seeded players on the draw, only two were eliminated and will not play the round of 16: number 12 (Moyano/Gil ), forced to retire, and number 16 (Ramirez/Muñoz ). Otherwise, the predictions were respected: Juan Lebron and Ale Galan (1) gave up only two games to Sanchez Blasco/Rolla (6-2 6-0) and today they are expected to play a not easy match against Maxi Sanchez and Luciano Capra , semi-finalists in the P1 in Madrid.

In the same half of the draw, some more suffering (6-3 7-6) for Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia (3), who defeated Chozas/Cepero . In the lower half, however, ‘Superpibes’ Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno (2) made a good debut, beating wild cards Britos and Rivero (6-1 6-1); Fede Chingotto and Paquito Navarro (4) also dominated, 6-2 6-2 over Gutierrez/Huete Hernandez.

Finally, Fernando Belasteguin did not fail either: the Argentine legend, paired with Mike Yanguas (6), conceded only four games (6-1 6-3) to Leygue/Insa Sotillo , who came from the qualifiers.

Today the tournament gets into full swing with the round of 16, starting on centre court at 10am Argentine time, 3pm in central Europe. They open with Momo Gonzalez and Sanyo Gutierrez (7) against Fernandez/Cardona , then Chingotto/Navarro (4) against Valdes/Sanchez.

Ruiz (14) and Nieto/Sanz (11)-Stupaczuk/Di Nenno (2). On court number 2, starting at 14.30 local time, Bergamini/V. Ruiz (10)-A. Ruiz/Tello (6) and Silingo/Lima (8)-Rico-A. Gutierrez (15).
